Hi, I'm Armin — 24 years old, sports scientist, certified spinning and fitness instructor, and the founder of Recovery Hero. I've spent my entire life in sport. And I learned what happens when you skip recovery.
Sport has always been my life
I've been training since I was a kid — that's over 20 years of sport. Not as a hobby, but as a way of life. I studied Sports Science, became a certified spinning instructor and general fitness coach, and have spent essentially my entire career surrounded by training, performance and movement.
Sport isn't something I do on the side. It's in my university degree, my job, my free time — every part of my daily life revolves around it.
Then came the injuries
Serious knee injuries — including ACL damage — forced me to stop and really understand what recovery means. Not as a concept, but as something I had no choice but to take seriously.
I spent months in recovery. I learned which movements matter, when to push and when to rest, and how the right routine after training is the difference between staying healthy and breaking down. That knowledge didn't come from a textbook — it came from lived experience.
